These tears are so strange,

They are close to happiness and sorrow,

If they are shed because of someone else's actions, then they are unlucky,

If someone sheds them for you, then they are lucky!

ये अश्क भी कितने अजीब हैं,

ख़ुशी और गमके करीब हैं,

किसीके किये बहे तो बदनसीब हैं,

कोई तुम्हारे लिए बहाए तो नसीब हैं !
